Computer Science

The computer science curriculum covers core fundamentals and applied aspects of hardware and software and exposes students to advanced topics in areas such as machine learning and artificial intelligence; data science; computer networking and security; and web programming and development.

Criminology and Criminal Justice

TheÌýDepartment of Criminology and Criminal JusticeÌýequips graduates for rewarding careers in the courts, corrections, law enforcement, victim services, juvenile justice, and many other agencies and organizationsâ€”professions that make a meaningful impact on society.

Education (Elementary and Secondary)

ÂÌÅ«Ìì»¨°åampaâ€™s Department of Education prepares students to become certified teachers upon graduation. Upon the completion of their degree, students are equipped educators with the skills necessary to create an active learning environment and promote academic success in the classroom.

History, Geography and Legal Studies

While theÌýDepartment of History, Geography and Legal StudiesÌýis made up of faculty from a variety of disciplines, they work together closely to ensure students receive excellent training in preparation for a variety of future careers.Ìý

Mathematics

TheÌýmathematics majorÌýfocuses on the most significant branches of mathematics, including real analysis, abstract algebra and finite mathematics, and provides a program that gives students a balanced view of pure and applied aspects of modern mathematics.

Political Science and International Studies

Students in the Department of Political Science and International Studies program get hands-on education with small class sizes and faculty who bring their active research agendas into the classroom.Ìý

Psychology

The mission of the psychology program is to give students the tools necessary to think scientifically about human behavior, appreciate the diversity of behavior and experience, and pursue a variety of postgrad career options.
