Career Specialties
Joshua Lovett specializes in applied developmental, educational and community psychology. He has studied a wide array of topics including social and emotional development and learning, prosocial behavior and teacher well-being.
Professional and Community Activities
Lovett researches the social and behavioral contexts of learning, with particular attention to how teachers integrate social and emotional skill development into academic instruction and how teacher social-emotional competence shapes classroom climate and student learning. As a teaching faculty member, he also investigates how psychological science informs teaching practice. He has published several peer-reviewed articles and is an active member of the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (APA Division 2).
